Event Details

The eight contemporary Islamic-style gardens in the Aga Khan Centre, Kings Cross, London, range from contemplative courtyards inspired by Andalusia, loggias evoking the Middle East, to rooftop spaces echoing designs from South and Central Asia.

The nearby Jellicoe Gardens designed by Tom Stewart-Smith, were based on the 16th century Bagh-e-Fin in Iran, and exhibit pools, an open pavilion, rills and soft scented meadow planting.  The gardens pay tribute to the architect and garden designer Sir Geoffrey Jellicoe who was a founding member of the Landscape Institute.

Meet outside the Aga Khan Centre, 10 Handyside Street, London N1C 4DN at 12.15pm

Cost: The visit to the Aga Khan Centre and Jellicoe Gardens is free of charge.
